Vegetation Management Products

Cengea has developed a Vegetation Management Program Solution to help power line transmission owners plan, schedule, and monitor activities and information related to transmission Vegetation Management Programs for line right of ways.


Our VMP solution supports budget planning and contractor management; provides location awareness of ownership, corridor ROW, and access points; centralizes activity scheduling and monitoring; and due to the modular nature, can be easily integrated with current Asset Management and Financial solutions. It supports both Oracle and Microsoft SQL-Server database platforms and is spatially enabled by ESRI technology.


Cengea’s Transmission VMP Solution is composed of a number of modules that can be combined to best suit the business challenges at hand:

Planner

Records, organizes, and presents assets, locations, and projects related to power lines, roads, vegetation, activity areas to users in various roles across multiple offices in an intuitive manner –

  • Plan and actively manage operational activities for vegetation control, road access, and maintenance using activities and projects to control budgets, effort, and activity progress;
  • Plan and manage inspection schedules across the entire network including the configuration of reminders;
  • Support compliance and monitoring efforts including data retention and performance reporting;
  • Generate maps to support a variety of needs like field work, ROW access, and emergency management.

Contractor

Creates and manages service and purchase contracts for all activities defined in the Planner module –

  • Manage and maintain of all vendor/party information such as contact details, WCB and insurance status, and training certification;
  • Define flexible rate rules and rate hierarchy to control payment amounts and timing, as well as handling advances, hold-backs and retroactive pay adjustments;
  • Create payments all activities and integrates actual details with planned details including costs;
  • Supports General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, while auditing features allow you to track changes.

Land Records

Records and tracks all relevant information –

  • Tracks land ownership, land leases, encumbrances and right of ways including associated spatial data;
  • Uses automated overlays to identify relationships between planned activities and land owners for various communication purposes.

Real Estate

Supports staff activity involved in any transaction related to changes in land ownership via real estate property sale, development, or purchase –

  • Assemble suitable property for purchase or sale;
  • Ensure operational, environmental, and zoning constraints are factored into your real estate decisions;
  • Track real estate projects with workflow checklists to ensure policy, practices, and regulations compliance;
  • Track real estate project costs, valuations, activity schedules, documentation, and contacts.

Mobile

The mobile software framework complements and supports the back office modules –

  • Allows data to be reviewed, updated, or recorded using mobile devices;
  • Using a wireless internet connection data can be synchronized with field staff to record survey, inspection, or activity status with near real time frequency.
