Environment & Land
Samples of Our Experience
State of Mississippi, Department of Environmental Quality
MDEQ has selected Cengea's Watershed product as the platform for supporting the delivery of their Section 319, Non-Point Source Pollution Control program. Watershed will be used to manage project and BMP information, funding information, inspection information and project results information. It will also provide reporting and analysis capabilities and data transfer tools for providing data to the US Environmental Protection Agency.
State of Ohio, Department of Natural Resources
Cengea's Watershed product is used by Ohio DNR, Division of Soil and Water Conservation and over 80 conservation districts in Ohio to manage the delivery of state and local conservation programs to landowners and other cooperators. The solution is used to track projects and BMPs, manage educational and outreach initiatives, manage staff time, respond to pollution complaints, track project funding and satisfy state reporting requirements.
Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR)
Cengea's Watershed product is used by BWSR and over 150 local government units including Conservation Districts to deliver the state soil and water cost-share program, manage the grant application, adjudication and approval processes, manage the feedlot inspection program, track Section 319 programs and satisfy state reporting requirements.
Ducks Unlimited Canada
Cengea developed a GIS-based application for Ducks Unlimited Canada to manage their inventory of land assets across Canada.
Manitoba Hydro
Cengea conducted a project to replace Manitoba Hydro's legacy mainframe Hydrometric Data Management and Energy Accounting system. This was a high priority, mission-critical project to improve the quality and availability of hydrometric/hydraulic time-series data. This data is used to support the operation of Manitoba Hydro's hydroelectric generating stations and to support its power trading/export activities.
Manitoba Water Stewardship
Cengea developed a suite of Water Resource management applications for the province of Manitoba. These solutions (1) provide comprehensive management, query and reporting capabilities for hydrometric time series data, particularly surface water levels and flows and groundwater levels, temperature and chemistry; (2) track water use, manage the approvals process, issue licenses and help the province respond to stakeholders; (3) Manage well logs, including stratigraphic data and driller information.
