Western Expands Use of Cengea Technology to Entire Operation
Vancouver, BC — January 3, 2007 — Cengea Solutions Inc. announced that Western Forest Products Inc., the second largest coastal woodlands operator in British Columbia, has expanded it's use of Cengea's offering to manage the entire company's 7.8 million cubic meters. Western's selection is based on Cengea's ability to deliver proven industry solutions with predictable, fixed-scope implementations to a wide-range of companies.
Western will leverage the solution to replace disparate legacy systems with a single system to streamline operations and more efficiently manage its timber harvesting and forestry activates. Western will be able to better manage its information, both internally and externally, throughout its operations.
"The opportunity to optimize business efficiencies and manage costs associated with wood procurement processes depend on integrated, accessible and up-to-date information well in advance of harvesting", said David Byng, Director of Management Information Services at Western. "The level of integration from the Cengea solution will provide Western the information needed to improve and create efficiencies that directly impact the company's bottom line."
"Cengea is delighted to work with Western Forest Products to bring a level of standardization and integration across their supply chain", said Michele Wallcraft, Cengea Solutions Inc.
